Hi guys, cutting long story short, reverse lights are intermitent,

May be the reverse light switch on the gearbox ....

Bloke in parts shop said there are 2 types, one looks like a big spark plug kinda thing which screws into the gearbox? and the other type is like a square / rounded plastic box...

He didn't know which would fit my car as it threw both up in the system and Haynes manual doesn't show clearly enough..

Car is a 54 Octavia VRS

AUQ engine, 02J Gearbox . .. Even the Chap at Skoda didn't know which one it was as he couldn't find a part number for it!!

Help needed please guys as MOT is looming.

Pictures if anyone has them of where it is exactly would be great, I found what I think it is but not too sure......

Had a look on ETKA, i can understand his confusion, it looks like its on the top of the g/box, I guess all you can do is get the one listed and compare with the one you remove.
