Suspension set up for mk II

Featured Replies

I have a octavia mk II VRS diesel with 60,000 on. I am looking at a set of eibach pro kit lowering springs. 30 mm ish, I understand that these can be fitted on original shocks, mine are fine with no issues. I was, just wondering if anyone has tried this, or if there are a better set up of springs on standard shocks. It's a daily so don't want to go too low and their website says these go on standard shocks. Advice and thoughts would be appreciated.

Eibachs should be fine on oe dampers but you're drop will be somewhere like 15-20mm in my experience, certainly not 30mm.

If it was my car, with 60k miles on your oe dampers I'd be looking to replace those - if you're having the expense of pulling your susupension apart for the new springs you might as well put some better dampers on there at the same time. Pop some bilstein b8 dampers on and you'll probably find the car rides better than it did stock.

I did think about it and I understand where your coming from, but those shocks will do at least 100,000 no problem. I will be swapping them myself so no extra cost. A friend had a Fabia VRS and he put these on and thought they were great. I was just wondering if there were any other makes to look at.

I'm still choosing which way to go with my vrs but

Pi and H&R are other options to.look at
