Elephant insurance again!

Featured Replies

Hi,

I've just got off the phone with Elephant, after being quoted 65 quid for a strut brace. Next year I was thinking of getting the tractor remapped, mentioned this to them and aparently they'll only cover a 10% remap, any more than that they won't touch.

Does anybody know if thats right? Or is it based on my policy?

Cheers

shop around..plenty of insurance groups, including the biggies, will cover your mods. Good luck.

Elephant insured my new strut brace last night for

Can't believe that they charge extra for making the car more stable and less understeer = safer

Any excuse to make more money!

talk about having your eyes out!!!!!! It's not exactly a performance mod is it!!!!

Yea, 65 quid is a bit steep I thought.

I think I might wait till my policy's nearly over then ring about a bit.

SteVRs... how much do you pay as standard? Mines about 770 quid, thats at 27 with 2 years discount. Maybe I live in a really bad area, but I know I don't! Sticking my postcode into a mates policy quote dropped it a few hundred quid!

I pay

elephant and admiral are known to be dodgy

I have just renewed my insurance. On an unmodified skoda fabia vrs I am paying

I think that Elephant just don't like me much, still sortof tempted to go for the strut brace though, you lot think its worth 100 odd quid? To buy and insure I mean.

Nope ;) Can you find out how they reach that figure - Tesco openly explained their policies and ways to maximise the increase in premium.....
