Revo remap on 1.6CR

Featured Replies

Just noticed that Revo now have a remap for the 1.6 CR on their list.

After the pleasure I got from the remap on my 1.9 mk 1, this has to be worth considering. Has anyone tried it yet?

Not far off it, had my ECU read and just waiting as Revo didn't have a map for my ECU so they are building one, hope it's not going to be long now :-)

You'll have to let me know how you get on.

I'm wondering if there's anything about my Greenline that would make it different

Will let you know Monday evening what it's like, dropping it off Monday on the way to work, bring on 141 bhp :-)

I thought Revo we're getting out of it...

Any reason; other than past experience, you're not considering one of our sponsors?

No one else is doing a map for this engine yet are they....?

Basically I was delighted with the previous revo remap and liked being able to turn on and off with the sps.

There used to be a reasonable revo presence on the site, but that seems to have disappeared though.

Revo used to be a site sponsor many years ago.

Plenty of other tuners can offer the ability to apply/remove your map with a box similar to the SPS.

Being local to me (about 5 mile from work)did have a big factor in my choice, cost came into it a bit as well, Revo had a 20% discount when I booked it.

I'm clearly giving away my age...

True, but I have an SPS in my glovebox already, so could turn on and off as and when I like - I like to have it turned off when it goes in for service for example or on occasions when the missus drives it.

no-one's particularly local to me, and yes, I'll be waiting for the next sale before I book mine.

Out of interest, have you got any before data to compare? Having popped the "Torque" app on my phone I've been interested to watch boost pressure etc on the go

Well?

 says it all!

Why don't they come out of the factory like this? Much better, pulls very smoothly and not such a limited range as my old vrs diesel, the delivery is very smooth. Little things like when your doing 60 in 5th if you accelerate it pulls straight away, you don't need to shift down a gear for overtaking like before the map was done and generally just a lot quicker, i've looked down at the speedo and been surprised a couple of times already! I'm very happy with it, even the missus is enjoying the extra power.

Looks like I'll need to find a suitably equipped Revo remapper near Gloucester and wait for the next sale!
