Miller oil in my fab vrs tdi

Featured Replies

Just wondered if anyone can help, I purchased some miller trident oil for my old Evo which I never used , it say 5/ 40 and for petrol and diesels on the bottle , but it says vw 502.00 / 505.00 , I'm not sure if I can use this or not as a thread on here said only to use it if it has 01 at the end, any help much aprrichiated b4 I she'll out for some

If you have the 1.9 TDI PD - which I assume you have - you need either 505.01 (for fixed interval servicing) or 507.00 for long life servicing.

506.01 used to be the long life version but its been superseded by 507.00 which is also needed for DPF vehicles.

Basically, the viscosity rating is secondary to the above VW specs.

Ok cheers for that

The Trident oil might be the same viscosity, but doesn't meet the VW spec (505.01). If you still want to use Millers oil, then use XFE-PD oil which meets the required standards. It's the stuff I use too.
