vRS Pedal Rubber Prices

Featured Replies

Having just had the metal plate spring off the clutch pedal rubber of my Octy vRS, I phoned the local dealer and asked the price of a new rubber for the clutch pedal. It comes complete with metal plate.

Glad I was sitting down at the time as part number 6Y2-721-174-01C is....................................

Ask if 8N0 721 174A 01C - listed in ETKA as clutch pedal pad - satin black/chrome - RS - fits. It costs

Cheers Denis, just got back onto Browns of High Wycombe and they are now checking that number.

Think they must have a problem in the parts dept with numbers.Or perhaps they want to me to buy a Fabia vRS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

When they quoted in the first place I thought they were quoting for the complete clutch pedal assembly, and they confirmed it was for the pedal rubber alone.

Awaiting a phone call.........................................

Just got the telephone call from Browns, they spoke to Skoda Technical and the part number Denis has quoted if for a left hand drive car and yes it is

Surely it's just a pedal, left or right hand drive

Looking at the parts list, the correct part number for the clutch pedal rubber thingy is....

8N0 721 173 A

Give that ago!

Just had a long conversation with a young lady at Skoda UK, and they have confirmed the prices as stated.

LHD............................................

Skoda technical have told Browns that the left hand drive will not fit the right hand drive.

I thought the pedals where the same, just mounted on the otherside of the car. Whenever I have driven LHD the pedals look no different.

She stated that the left hand drive one was more popular ?????????
So are all the other RHD parts in the car subject to the same exhorbitant markup on the same grounds? I think not.

Bought a complete set off eBay for

I reckon a LHD one will fit and for under

I remember hearing this off a dealer as well, I laughed at him. Don't see how a LHD clutch and brake pedal can differ from RHD.

Doh just remembered you can get them fromVAG Parts for not much

Surely the TT and Octy ones are the same.

The pedal box is different, the pedals dont run straight they are angled slightly for clearance. This doesnt explain why they are more expensive, just why they have different numbers.

A LHD car isnt the mirror image of a RHD car.

Right........Just had a call from both Browns and Skoda Uk.

The RHD and the LHD pedals are both

That looks to me as if someone has mis-typed the price into the computer 72.46 and 7.24...that's got to be more than a coincidence!

I checked with my local dealer today, prices are correct and its not for a complete pedal, just the rubber.

That has got ot be the biggest rip off ever!!! I dread to think what the Audi ones cost. Assuming they have them.

Probably cheaper, its got to be an error on ETKA surely.

When you take the rubber off the pedal and look inside, guess what you see????????????????????

The Audi four ring symbol and an Audi part number, which I could not read due to wear on the rubber.

Only good thing is that as an Octy vRs owner they are only going to cost just over eight quid......................Sorry for Furby vRS owners, perhaps if enough complained direct to Skoda UK, they might reduce to price to what it should be.

Worth a try.

the pedals have been raided from the audi parts bin (the tt one i think...).

So if it is

So if it is

so would be looking @ not much change from
