Goodyear tyre for VRs octavia

I have just had 4 of these fitted to my tsi Vrs Octavia by local tyre company today for £480 all in. Hope they perform well as the get good reviews on the web.

Folks,

How do you find the road /tyre noise levels with the Goodyears. I am thinking of getting them instead of Michelin PS3's but only if the noise level is reduced. Can you help? Thanks.

Difficult to give accurate feedback on how they compare on grip, noise etc as they have replaced the original 3 yr old Dunlops. As they stand now the noise level is fine for me and the grip is better but then these new ones do have tread on them :)

I was going to get the pilot sport 3 with the fuel voucher offer from Michelin but went with the web reviews on the Goodyears and got those.

Why does noise level bother some people.

If you've got a vRS, this should mean you're into sporty driving!

Try adjusting the volume/speed/noise level on the radio to suit.

These tyres are fantastic. Very grippy wet or dry, good feedback, wear well enough, quiet etc. I can't really fault them. I had the original F1 assy on my BMW, and the 2's were first choice for my last vRS. Once my current car needs tyres it will be getting these no question. The Contisports it has on now seem to wheel spin really easily when setting off.

Agreed - I also had a pair of the original Assymetrics on a previous can so got a set fitted to my VRS. They've been great and I'll get the same next time. Apart from the excellent grip, I've been really pleased with their performance in heavy rain. They're very reassuring tyres to have on the car.

Another convert here. Love tyres do a good deal on them.

Had crappy dunlops fitted on delivery, didn't last a toss, garbage. Refitted with mich ps3 s then Goodyear via ps3 on the fronts as a trial. Gy outlasted ps3 by 1 mm . Now fitted with 4 gy as2, cheaper, better write ups and the most quiet it's ever been other than when Im pulling the torque burger to get by some fandango in a jazz doin 20 in a 60! Get gy. Promotion on when I got them , £40 quid back from tesco Pfs and free puncture repairs for the life of the tyre thru Mcconechys. no brainier, wife has conti 3s fitted to her company Volvo v60 and they are not anywhere near as good for wear.

Hi was just looking at these boots on F1 auto centers website, they list them a E for economy, A for wet weather performance and 70db for road noise
