Guys.... I think i know the answer but just to flush a idea down the toilet

Did any octys come with black boot carpets at all ?

Should be able to dye one.

You can't dye them all that black (well, not with the proper car stuff anyway). I've dyed the living $hit out of my main carpet on my vRS and it came out dark(ish) grey. Not really any darker than the boot carpet already is, just less mottled looking.

Just had a look at mine - carpets are somewhere between Humbrol 27 and 123 ("slate grey" and "extra dark sea grey").

I would say mine is black .....

But, I am colour blind, so it's probably grey !!
