Coolant / Antifreeze

Featured Replies

Quick question please chaps.

I was doing the usual under bonnet checks this afternoon on the vRS and noticed that the coolant level was between the MIN and MAX mark.

For years its been bang on the MAX mark so I'm wanting to top it up.

I've found some genuine VAG coolant/antifreeze on eBay delivered for under a tenner.

It says its ready mixed so I'm assuming I can just pour this straight in?

That will be fine, can't really tell from the picture, but that looks like the non mixed G12.

Yep just as you say, ready to use.

Eh?. On the label it says G12 plus Plus and next to it in white it says 'ready mix'

It does say 'ready mixed' on the label and in the description.

Although I've not seen it sold as such myself (then again I've not looked) it does make sense to carry it this way rather than 'neat'.

I've bought from Caffyns on eBay before and found them very helpful and efficient (and good prices). So I'd say, if you need it, go for it.

Thanks gents, I'll get some ordered!

£7 from the dealer or tps will get you 1.5 litres of undiluted making 3 litres of mixed.
