Britain's most reliable car

Featured Replies

Did no one else see the article in the press today that the petrol yetis are the UK's most reliable car? The petrol yeti topped a which survey and had something like 99. 7 as a score, and just ahead of the diesels with an equally impressive 93 (or thereabouts)

I noticed the Disco Sport (sorry, can't call it a Range Rover because it's not) came last despite some them costing around 50k. :giggle:

Odd that only the Scotsman ran with it.

all lies, my 53 plate Fab is, without doubt, the most reliable car - ever.

The Telegraph ran it, "The most reliable car in Britain costs half as much as the most unreliable one"

"The surprise winner was a Skoda Yeti 4x4 ...just under Half the price of the Range Rover Sport..."

Headline: "Skoda halves the price of 4x4 reliability"

In the Scotsman they quoted which as saying the fact it was a skoda was "a real surprise"

Hmmmm

Odd that only the Scotsman ran with it.

This is based on the Which? magazine story from 19 July. The other papers covered it at the time.

Yes, it was from Which?

One of my drivers saw it in the Sun at the weekend and cut it out for me. :)

It was also in the London Metro this week... but alas with a concept Yeti picture instead of the production version we know. Doh.

Surprising results or ways of thinking & explaining them.

eg, the iQ.

The recalls on the Steering were on iQs built between 2009 & late (up to Nov) 2010, & did not make them unreliable, it just meant they needed to go into a dealership.

They did also need a Recall on the Brake Pipe from the Servo needing replaced, & the ECU/Brake/ESP Update,

& now some 3 year old ones are getting the EGR replaced.

That did make them unreliable.

None of that effects the Euro 5 models from January 2011 tho.

The C1 is basically the same car as the Aygo & 107, was it really more reliable?

george

Toyota in the news again today for another recall.

RAV 4, yards & Aris from 2006 to a later date but can't remember.

That won't help their reliability ratings.
