hi i have just bought a fabia 1 ,1.4 16v which has 100bhp

i was wondering what cheap upgrades i can do to squeeze some more horse power

the car atm is orginally standard?

You can do the usual of air intake and exhuast, but you will not see much return in power.

If you are a driver the perfers the twisty lanes than all out straight line speeds some handling modifications might work a little better for you!

Just to give you some rough ideas:

K&N 57i Air Intake - £70.80 inc VAT with FOC shipping

Exhaust there is not much that is 'off the shelf' so you may have to get a custom one made on that.

Handling, depending on what mileage the car has done but to give you some rough ideas!

Wishbone bushes are common to fail:

F/Wishbone Front Powerflex Bushes - £37.91

F/Wishbone Rear Powerflex Bushes - £53.89 Or you can gof or the Seat Ibiza Cupra Bushes £22.82

A great little handling mod on those is the Whiteline Rear ARB - £141.11

Also depending on mileage it might be a good idea to look at replacing the sprigns and dampers! Don't forget good tyres make a world of difference too when it comes to handling!
