best mileage on tank full of fuel

Featured Replies

i have a 1.9 105 59 plate estate and managed 683.8 before filling.it might have gone to700 but i needed to go somewhere so had to fill it.that was filling until no more could be put in.mixed driving conditions ie motorway and town.

is this typical or good?

seems typical to me for a 1.9 105.

best I've had from my vRS is 650-odd after two days driving across the country (so mainly motorway and A-roads), and it had around 30 miles still showing on the OBC.

Realistically I get ~450 per tank but have had over 500 on many long trips. Even sub 400 when having some fun!

636 miles is best I've had from my Scout, again mostly motorway/A roads, gave an economy figure of 53mpg.

430 in my tfsi

756.9 miles.

I've had 450 with maybe 20 miles (according to computer) left in my TSi. Mostly motorway, but some urban.

617 in my pd105 estate. Read 55 when calculated.

Mines 50 miles a day to work going through two busy towns. Friday traffic would give me a chance of 650 but at 55mpg I'm happy. How you get 700 is beyond me

Mines an 07, but can't imagine that makes a huge difference to a 59 in revisions to the engine

Should add that I generally get around 530-540 miles to a tank on mixed driving, so around 45mpg.

705 with 30 left on the trip on a trip to Oxford & back from Newcastle in my Octy VRS CR diesel, but then I am getting on a bit now.
