Octavia VRS TDI ('08) acceleration dead-spot

Featured Replies

Sorry if this topic is covered elsewhere but I have failed to find it.

Anyway, I have an '08 VRS RDI with around 70k mile on the clock. Around 4 months ago it had the factory recall to replace the injectors. Since then (and whilst I would not swear to this date being coincident) the car has not performed the same. At around 1750rpm there is a momentary loss of power, where acceleration drops for maybe a few tenths of a second, before it continues as normal. I have inspected hoses for signs of damage but see nothing obvious.

As I say, the problem 'seems' to be coincident with the recall but I could not be sure.Does anyone have any ideas or is this norma? (though I have had the car for two years and do not remeber the problem prior to this).

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Hello dpowell08 and welcome along

I'm sure someone will be along soon that can answer your question, if not post it up in the relevant Octy forum. Good luck in getting it sorted.
