Average Fuel Consumption resetting

Featured Replies

Maybe I'm missing something but my average MPG counter on the Maxidot works fine but when i go out to the car next day its reset to 0

now i want it to tell me the MPG for a tankful or between refills how do i stop it from resetting overnight

had a good read of the owners manual and still cannot work it out can anyone help

Not sure if the maxidot is the same as normal, but press the reset button once and it should change to the long term average

TB1 is correct.

You have two readings, a short-term (few hours driving) one, and a long-term one that resets after 9999 hours (I think); or you can reset both yourself at any time by holding down the maxidot button on the steering wheel.

There are two trip computers, one resets after approx. 1 hour or so of being parked up, whilst the other is always an average based on so many recent miles. If you have a little number 1 in the corner of the display you are looking at the one which resets after a short time. To switch between them press the button on the bottom of the wiper stalk briefly.
