Group 2/3 car seats

Featured Replies

I'm looking at group 2/3 car seats for my eldest. Probably going to just get a Maxi-Cosi like our smaller seats but not sure what is currently purported to be very good. He's 4 and a 1/2, q. Tall but very slight so I need to try him out in a seat (width adjustment to narrow?) but my youngest is fast approaching needing to come out of his baby carrier and the group 1 maxi cosi that eldest uses will become his. Otherwise he could keep in his group 1 for a bit.

Anything else worth looking at around the £100 mark?

Maxi-cosi Rodi XR and Britax Kid Plus SICT came out well in the last Which test and they are quoted as £110ish (both getting 75%). Not sure of the differences between them but doubt it will be much other than colour scheme. If you can find somewhere that stocks both I'd go and try them out, otherwise go with whatever you can get a good deal on.

Britax Kid Plus for both our kids (4.5 & 7.5 years). Both with ISOFIX.

Didn't have to pay over £100 for either.

We have our daughter in a Kiddi Guardian pro, she's 2 and half tall and very slim. When we first tried her in the seat she was unsure, but she loves it.

It looks awkward to use initially but once you've done it a couple of times it's dead easy. On the plus side this seat is light and easily transfered to other cars, like the grandparents. Also it lasts until their about 12 depending on their size. There's been people that say their child slid out, but I can only assume they didn't put their child in correctly. My daughter has NEVER come close to this and that's with some spirited driving!

Had a look round and noticed that some places have reduced the price to when we bought ours grrrr.
