Recon turbo fitted last month and now car going into limp mode again

Featured Replies

I hav a 2009 vrs TDI octavia. Turbo failed on it and dealer replaced out with a recon turbo last month as car was still inside dealer warranty.

Car has gone into limp mode yesterday several times. It has same symptoms as before new turbo was fitted. If I accelerate to hard to overtake or increase speed it'll go into limp mode. If I turn engine off and on it resets.

Has anyone any ideas on what problem might be? Has recon turbo failed or could it be something more simple?

Thanks

Boost pressure sensor?

I had a whistling turbo replaced on my vRS last year.

Done under warranty at a Skoda dealer.

Drove it off the forecourt and it was exactly the same. They replaced it with another one and it still whistles!

The point I'm trying to make is that it is possible to get a duff genuine Skoda recon turbo.
