Turbo Technics Exchange Turbos

Featured Replies

What does anyone think of turbo techniques recon/exchange turbo chargers?

Are they any good and has anyone used them? Are there any other recommendations from people on here?

They are local to me, I know a few guys who have had turbos (not all recons but one or two were) from them. No issues, I think one guy had a fault and didn't have issues having it replaced/repaired. Is it going onto a fabia? Just stock or stronger?

It'd be an octavia.

Interestingly I've looked at turbo dynamics and they're saying honeywell don't supply parts for remanufacture of their VNT turbo's, along with a presentation of why not.

Be interesting to see which one of them is telling the truth, as TT say they refurb using genuine parts.

TT have been around a very long time and have a good reputation.

Is there a Typo or is it actually 'Turbo Techniques' you want to know about?

Sorry, never heard of them.

'Turbo Technics' 'TT'

(see 'clearance turbos')

There service has always been first class IME.

So would you trust them to refurb a VNT turbo when the manufacturer of the turbo says they don't sell genuine parts because they need calibrating etc after rebuild?

I'm guessing if they can do a hybrid VNT they should be able to do a normal refurb and possibly bearing upgrade?

TT have just completely refurbed my fabia VRS turbo and its seems spot on
