Im abit puzzled as to how these Alloy style connectors fit to the plastic part of the standard intercooler??

How can you clamp the plastic onto the alloy part of that coupler? I'm prety sure one of my lower IC pipes is leaking so im going to replace it

The alloy connectors are just an alloy version of the plastic on the OEM hoses, they are better and retain the OEM flat o-rings to seal the joint.

Had them on my 05 PD A3

You just swap over the rubber o-ring and insert the alloy coupler into the plastic Intercooler hole. There is a slide in clip which goes down a channel in the Intercooler to lock it in place.
