Octavia mk 2 steel wheels

Featured Replies

Hi all, it's that time of year and I am looking for a set of 15" wheels to put some winter tyres on. Anyone have any ideas, I can get a set from local scrap yard £30 each wheel off a 2010 octavia, any other options please.

Yep, do that - or look for a set from a base model Mk5/6 Golf or Jetta.

Just make sure they're 5x112 PCD.

I bought 4 from Skoda, £50.00 incl VAT each, incl for fitting the winter tyres I supplied.

£200.00 the set, with full Skoda warranty :giggle:

I thought that a fair price, having "scunged" locally for 2nd hand rims & been disappointed.

Thanks dieseldogg, local skoda garage quoted £52 per wheel and then another £80 to put the tyres on them, a bit much that I thought.

Many thanks Wardy

No worries. These could be worth looking at, for example: http://goo.gl/EAKHu

Now in my watched item list, thanks again.

I can't recommend these guys enough;

4 steel wheels + 4 winter tyres mounted and balanced delivered to your door from Germany, for a price unbeatable by my local Belgian shops! Got 4 of them for my sisters Yaris.

Sourcing 4 steel wheels for my Octavia was a nightmare, finally got 4 that still ended up being about 50€ a piece not including the 2 hours drive one way to get them. Add 4 tyres at 95€ a piece and you can do the math.

If I had known about that eBay shop then, would have saved me some money. Winter Tires are starting to become 'fashionable' here thank God, but steel rims are still very hard to find!

Try Rainsworth Skoda online.

I bought new 16" steel wheels with Hankook winter tyres fitted and balance for £460 delivered to my door.

I started a recent thread after my other half damaged my vRS alloys.

On that thread is a link to the Rainsworth eBay site.

They were very helpful and the wheels arrived quickly.

I am very pleased with them.

Thanks to all for your kind responses

Don't discount Gumtree for cheap OEM alloys too.

Managed to get a set of Mk1 Laguna Alloys for the good lady's Grand Scenic for £80 (£20 a wheel).

They actually look better than the standard Renault Mk2 Megane/Scenic alloys IMHO.

Couldn't get steels for it for anything like that!

Won a bid on eBay, as new seat steel wheels unused for £60, local fitter charged £30 to put my goodyear winter tyres on and swap the wheels over. Result. Thanks all for your contributions.
