Trying to fix annoying rattles and vibrations etc largely cause by a subwoofer.

One thing I have noticed is the side trim, particularly driver's side, has dipped down. I can raise it, but the clip that's meant to hold it will not hold always hold the weight. But when it does, it seems a rattle disappears. Probably because I fitted the OE rear sun screen roller blind which isn't that great anyway, and is quite weighty on the parcel shelf. Suppose I might be better off chucking it and getting those ones on ebay that stick a line down the middle of the rear screen, and come with ones for rear windows.

Thinking of slapping some sort of sealant, probably polyurethane, down the side of the trims either side of the parcel shelf to make sure they stay in place, and hope it reduces rattle. I can't see that they ever need to come out for anything?!

The only rattle I have on mine, or so I can seem to work out is the number plate rattling like mad lol.

Interesting, will look out for that, although suspect I wouldn't hear it inside the car. In any case luckily I'm using one of those number plate holders, so would just need to unscrew, stick some speaker foam tape to the back, and screw back down.

I seem to get rattles from everywhere, lol. I think even the window winder handles on the keep fit windows make a noise at certain frequencies.
