Did a search but haven't found anything. The dealer have been onto me this morning about a software update 921g6 on the steering wheel.

Anyone heard about it?

Haven't heard anything but I very occassionally get strange noise from the wheel, column area so will be watching this thread.

60 plate vrs diesel

I assume this is just for multifunction steering wheel? As don't imagine there is much in the standard one apart from airbag control.

I've got a manual so no mfsw

I guess if you are 60 plate you are model year 11 then (manufactured around may 2010 to may 2011)

Mine had this on last service - 2010 2.0 CR Elegance Estate. Was informed t was a fix for a potential issue but no further information was provided. No obvious difference to before the fix...

Edit: No multi-function steering wheel on mine

Steering or steering wheel?

I believe the steering system on the Octavia is electric hence the lack of a power steering fluid reservoir?

Therefore a software upgrade is very likely.
