Turbo Replacement Question

Featured Replies

Do anyone know what do I need in order to fit a new garrett turbo on my car beside the turbocharger itself? What gaskets of pipes it's indicated to replace at the same time? Thanks. My car: Octavia 2, Engine code:BKD

What's wrong with the turbo?

Is it overboost or something else?

If it's blown, new gaskets and oil feed/return pipes are a minimum.

If it's just sticky/overboosting, have a google for Mr Muscle VNT cleaning. It's worth a shot if you're going to replace it anyway and seems to be effective.

Thanks Cheezemonkhai for your reply but I've tried to use Mr Muscle but on my BKD engine seems impossible to reach the turbocharger... :( I've got a brand new Garrett turbo with all the oil pipes and gaskets for £750. This is the best thing I could have done to fix my car. I had the boost pressure regulaion: limit exceeded error and the actuator was completely stuck. I will keep and clean the old turbo and have it as an emergency replacement... :)
