Part numbers and ETKA

Featured Replies

Hello guys,

Just a quick question that hopefully someone will be able to help with.

I need a new front nearside wheel hub for my 2003 plate Superb, 1.9TDi 130 Classic. Now I think I've managed to source one (part number 3U0407615A) but to be sure I wanted to check on ETKA. The only thing is there are lots of different part numbers. Actually to be more precise, the numbers are the same, it's the last letter which seems to change. So there's:

3U0407615 A

3U0407615 B

3U0407615 C

3U0407615 D

3U0407615 E

3U0407615 F

3U0407615 G

.... does anyone know what the last letter signifies?

Whilst we're on the subject of ETKA, I've seen a few people post up illustrations/diagrams from the program here on the forum. How on earth do you export the images from ETKA?

It's highly likely that both of those questions are pretty dumb, so apologies if they are, but some help would be appreciated. Cheers in advance though.

The suffix letter indicates that there has been a revision or update to the item with the same part number.

It doesn't always mean that it is a completely different shape, usually a minor modification.

In your specific instance I am not able to help you with the differences. Sorry.

I had ETKA on an old PC. When I installed Picassa, it found the images within ETKA. Worth a try perhaps?

Little tip:

1. Print screen + mspaint

2. Snipping tool in vista or 7.

Hey no worries man, I appreciate the input.

Yep, I too noticed the images in the program folders but searching through them manually would take ages. I'm sure there's a better way.

I had thought of that myself, but the images in the ETKA program are so small. There must be a way of showing them full screen and then PrtScrn them.
