Life with eibachs on Std Vrs dampers

Featured Replies

I know quite a few of you have been running this set up for quite a few months now, how is it going? :)

Just wondering what experiences you have had now its been a while and if you still think they work well with the standard dampers.

I am really interested in getting the springs in the future but i live in the sticks and there are a few rough roads unfortunately...

To sum up, does this setup still absorb most bumps?

Does the car bounce when going through bumps and troughs?

Is the handling awesome?

Are everyones dampers still performing fine (no signs of extra wear)?

Any regrets or is it really good?

Thanks guys

And have you had any warranty/insurance issues??

I had this set up and it was tosh don't do it. The springs are'nt meant for a VRS they are meant for an audi S3. The car used to bounce and skittle around like a "good un". I saved up and bought some KW2 but never got round to fitting them

PS Andy (wilsonian)have you still got the spring compressors ??

You sure you're talking about the Fabia vRS? ;)

Sorry that's balloney. The Eibach's I'm thinking of ARE deffo for the Fab vRS. Admittedly they were first desgined for the Polo 130 PD TDI but the Fab has the same floorplan so that's OK. They are currently one of Eibach's best sellers, so I really don't think thay can be that bad...

I got Eibach Pro Kit springs a while back, but didn't have time to fit them.

Luckily, I found a set of matching Eibach Pro Dampers @ GTI International for a bargain price.

Have talked to a few people about using just the springs & it seems to be OK but will wear out the standard dampers quickly - depending on driving style.

For a cheap cosmetic mod they're OK but i'd advise to match up the dampers aswell.

it's not baloney but it's for the wrong car I didn't read and thought you meant octavia vrs. Sorry

PS the springs even said Audi S3 on the box absolutey ruined the handling

This weekend I will be writing up my review of the Eibach Springs on std dampers c/w piccies ;)

I'll look forward to that Walkie

I can't afford good dampers TBH so i'll either just fit eibachs or be content with standard :)

iirc your pretty close to where I live, give us a shout if you wanna try them out

i look forward to your write up too walkie, i haven`t got my eibach`s fitted yet so i`d like to know your opinion.

I will also be looking forward to your write up, as I think I may have got my hands on some 17" octi spiders and I want to get the springs to, cant afford the dampers yet, and i dont want the ride to be too hard so will try the springs alone first...

How did the ebachs with the 17" wheels turn out over the weekend?

Also, how much did it coast to get the ebachs fitted...?

Sorry, hectic weekend! I'll do a write up later today
