skoda fabia lights

Featured Replies

help guys, i want to wire the main beam on a 08 plate fabia into my fog lamps so they come on at the same time but there is only one bulb in the projector headlamps, any help? what wores should i join up?

thanks

could be done if you find the right wires, and yes 1 bulb because fabia uses h7 bulb which does both high and driving beam.

i dont understand why is it really that much of a hassle to switch main beam on??

the only problem you might get is main beam wont switch off if driver coming other direction so would have to switch fogs off, and main beam might not switch on unless you switch on fogs but if you tap into the right wires this shouldnt happen.

But i'm sorry i really dont understand why, when you could use the bulb holder thats free and wire a bulb into that and then have that wired to fogs

Im guessing you would be aware doing this would make using the main beam techincally illegal

But you would need to find the feed from the main beam that triggers the projector to change its aim for main beam..

As stated above im not sure how this work round the fogs and the fog switch.

Really need an auto electricians advice.

If it's foggy - hence needing fog lamps on - you won't want full beam on your headlights as you be dazzled by them as the light bounces straight off the fog back at you. If it's not foggy you don't need fog lights on and I think it's ilegal to do so.
