supply your own oil for service at main dealer

Featured Replies

Hi My Roomster is due first service shortly 1.6 diesel I have in the past with our makes of cars supplied the oil for servicing rather than pay the dealer price ( I must stress always manufactured spec oil ).this has never been a problem in the past. How do Skoda dealers respond to this before I ask my local dealers anyone done the same? I will be taking to main dealer so as to keep value of car and warranty I would buy from opie oil.

The thing is, unless you're watching them pour it in

then how do you really know they used what you supplied,

and you're not just supplying some tech with free oil which they can take home

and use on their private jobs?

I think his concern is more based around the financial saving. If he suppies his own bottle then it will knock a chunk off the bill. :)

Err the quantum stuff vag uses is usually cheaper than an oil the correct spec from halfords etc lol

Sent from my Galaxy S3, not a Crapple!

Can't see them having a problem really, plus they'll have there own mark up on the Quantum oil, so will probably save you a few quid, especially if Euro Car Parts have the discount offer on oil again.

Easy way to know they have fitted the oil is to ask them if theres any left over oil to leave it in the car, or give you the empty bottle back.
