Turn ignition all lights come on bright, radio is fine so not the battery, turn key all the way and nothing. Literally had the car off fir 10 mins went inside came out and nothing.

does it make a 'click' sound?

yep headlight works and everything

but i mean when you turn the ignition to the start position, do you hear a click sound instead of it starting

ye just a click

starter motor is on the fritz then i would think, if the click is from under bonnet too. Try putting it in second gear and pushing car forward and back bouncing it off the gear each way a few times then try it again, it may start after that, and be ok for a bit but itll do it again so probably time to replace it

If you get the clicking its usualy a bad earth or low battery, some models are known to have faulty starter motors (1.2 petrols)

Check the conections on the battery and the earths around the engine, alternator and wirea going to the starter.

Cheers for the info, bit late to do anything now. So strange that all i did was park on the drive, get changed go back out to the car and nothing :/

more common than you might think. I bet itll start in the morning as mine only did it when it was warm. I have since changed the starter
