Redex injector cleaner

Featured Replies

Has anyone used the redex injector cleaner in their vrs pd engines as I have heard roumers that it can damage the injectors is this true?

Millers ecomax

I can't see it being much different in effect compared to the Millers additive that a lot of folk use on here?

I've bought some of this redex stuff but always forget to take it with me when I fill the car up, hope these rumours aren't true

Personally wouldn't bother. Marketing gimmick if you ask me. Plus where does all the crap go if it does do anything?

Very good point

Just drive you car hard every now and then.

That will make more of a difference :)

BG 44k (same for desiel is bg 244) is the stuff I used in my FTO, with redex never really felt any difference but I swear by the BG products

Have to agree whether Red X, or Millers, its doubtful if they would do any harm or good, but Quackery is still alive and thriving judging by the many bottles coming out weekly promising everything in a bottle .One large retail outlet I used to work for many years ago, the staff in the warehouse used to have these type of wonder products on a shelf, they called the dream shelf. Some say Millers is the finest thing since sliced bread, myself found little or no difference when used in several diesel cars and vans.Just drive sensibly to get the best fuel economy and use a good branded diesel to start with and regular routine service IMHO that all thats needed .
