Tuning my Fabia Vrs PD

Featured Replies

Firstly I apologies for my ignorance here and sorry if this has been done to death but I am new to the site.

I ave a Fabia Vrs PD that has been Revo'd and has Eibach springs other than that standard.

I want to take the performance further but with out compromising the daily use of the car...

Can anyone suggest my options and does anyone know of a good specialist up in the North East ?

Help would be appreciated thanks...

On the sensible side I would be looking at the handling and stopping side of things first - RARB, seat sport strut brace, 312mm front brakes etc. A pretty quick search will let you know that as soon as you push anything above 160-70BHP you really ought to be getting a better intercooler, stronger turbo, uprated clutch etc... All of which cost over £500 each. Even a decent exhaust will be hundreds of pounds. With all of those bar the clutch you would be looking to get the map updated to make the most of them anyway. Possibly go for little things like the pd160 intake which isn't too pricey but won't make a huge difference.

I wouldn't say the PD160 intake was worth if unless you have some bigger mods.

I have the remap and was over the moon but now I want to go further. The standard exhaust is good enough to handle a hybrid - the only thing I would do is cut the cat out.

Remember it's not as simple as bolting a hybrid in you need to factor in the cost of the intercooler, the clutch, the mapping and all the labour for it to be fitted unless your doing it all yourself.
