G'day one and all,

Well I bought one of those Skoda thingys yesterday, only 6 more days before I collect it ... 1.9tdi fabia estate.

I'm an ex-smart car owner, so the fabia will not stay standard for long ... I'll be trying for an understated look;

privacy windows

wider/bigger steel wheels from other VAG motors

air filter

remap

Be prepared to have your brains picked, and I'll better apologise for any SFQ's here and now :)

Welcome to Briskoda. Fire away with the questions. :D

Welcome :orb_wave:

Which Smart did you have ? as SWMBO has 1 ( Pure ), and my son has the roadie.

Hope you enjoy the Furby

Hello and Welcome:D

Blimey what a friendly bunch!

Anyway, Smarts ....

Imported the first one in 2000, that was a mk3 pure which I changed panels about 3 or 4 times then added pulse/passion turbo parts, performance air filter and air scoop to and remapped.

Second was a mk5 pulse, I added Brabus wheels, a remap plus the obligatory 3 or 4 panel changes.

Then I made the massive mistake of buying a RHD mk7 698cc passion loaded with lots of toys. I added air filters, air intake mod, remap, spacers behind the strikeline alloys and a LHD drivers seat to the passenger side to provide the deat adjustment that's not available as standard.

I was in the smart community from the start, and smart garages were golden ... then Mercedes stuck their corporate noses into things and it all went to ratsh*t.

When I got quoted

Wot qusetions do you have ref the TDi.

Do you have the PD100 and want to put the 130 ECU straight in ?

Steve,

I do indeed have PD100 1.9tdi, and I'm looking for the best way of adding more poke.

I thought adding a 130 ECU may be less risky than having it remapped?

  • 2 weeks later...

Glad to see the smart modding bug has transferred.

Good to see you here b1ackb1rd
