Seat Base

Featured Replies

Alright folks.. The bolsters on the base of my drivers seat have lost there padding and its just the metal frame i can feel while sitting there. Am wondering if its possible to purchase a replacement base or if it is a whole seat.

Any info would be appreciated

Cheers

Because I did my interior in leather I know for a fact, since I've seen the seats with no fabric, that you will need to replace the whole bottom part of the seat. It is one piece all together including the bolsters. Mine was also ruined from getting in and out of the car because the metal frame underneath it is very thin and over time it acts like a knife. Weak design to be honest.

not sure age of your car; got mine replaced under warranty about 3 months ago. Started to sag again so can only assume it's the 'frame' causing the issue, not the bolster

How old and how far have you driven your cars to have these problems?

Oh thats very bad :(

Did you have the regular seats or the sport seats?

just had new car driver's seat cushion replaced, after 3 weeks. TBH still feels it's sagging. Warranty guy at dealership says will probably have to contact SUK to see if there's some kind of 'issue' out there
