Just bought a new occy blackline, and on washing it i found a lead and connector hanging between the radiator and the grill strange kind of connector looks like it has a plunger or dome headed pin in the middle. ? any ideas

post a pic, Just looked at mine and nothing there.

Loose hanging outside temp sensor? Just a guess.

Sounds like the outside air temerature sensor.

Does look like an exterior temp sensor, surely it should be clipped into the bumper or somthing tho :wonder:

Looks like a ferrule/collar on the front which should fix it through a hole. Try looking for a similar size hole. If you disconnect it from the loom do you get any warning messages?

Try an ice cube on the dome and see of your outside temerature display shows it cold.

This is a picture of the free hanging connector and wire taken with a torch.

Someone forgotten to click it into its space. Should be underneath the bumper left or right from the middle. See my attached pictures above.

But as the car is new, go to the dealer and let it be done!

Yes thanks for the info i have found a plate attached to the front chassis with a hole in it thats exactly in the right place have tried to connect the sensor into it it just wont have it . To tight and keeps slipping out. tried grease still wont go so its back to the dealer, unless its the wrong place.
