Hi I have had my 54 plate Octavia since 3 months old, The car not me! and was under the belief that it had sports suspension fitted as it had the 17" pegasus wheels fitted. I had the car MOT'd on Friday and it failed for rear springs had both snapped the pigtails off, so they sourced new ones. The garage said he had ordered them using the part no and colour code off the old ones, saying they were standard and not sports, after much debate he said he was sure and fitted the springs. I was a little gutted that I thought I had sports suspension when in fact I didn't Or so I thought. The car looks ridiculous, it sits really high on the new springs! So I got out the service book looked up the optional equipment codes and there is code 2UC. "sports version" So he has fitted the wrong ones. Looks like I'll have to ring them on Monday and get it sorted! Oh well. The old springs had 3 yellow dots and a blue one. Can anyone shed any light on this to confirm what they mean. The garage was adamant they were standard! Also a bit surprised that he said the sports ones were £40 extra a side?

If I get a chance I'll dig my old ones out and check the colour. Mine are non sports.

The garage has rechecked, and i've now got SACHS Vrs springs fitted, so the ride height looks a lot better. Seems to ride ok too. So overall a happy bunny.
