Hope to find a new sump as quick as possible. Think I'll change the pick up pipe while i'm in there

Ended up going for the hybrid shortened sump with a steel bottom from darkside developments.

Received the sump today and got it fitted up!

**** myself when I took it out a run..... was giving it some boost and then whoosh! and a quiet whirring noise! Cut the revvs immediately and freewheeled to a layby. Got phone out as a torch and checked the boot lid for oil, thinking the turbo had shat itself but it was ok. Whipped off the engine cover for a look and one of the boost pipes had popped off! cry.gif

Will get a better jubilee clip for that tomorrow.

I want one of those sumps in my life lol! how much are they?

New sump does look good. Looking on Darksides website they're 120 pounds Dan

Thats not too bad thwn I remembered theres VAT and postage to go on that, would be a good idea though, coild go lower on the front then :)

Works out about £150 all in with the vat and postage. Same price as a new sump from skoda so no brainer really!
