Ok thanks for that sugestion. Ill have look round for best price ect.

"good, bright, blue" is an oxymoron when it comes to headlights. You can get good and bright, but not combined with a 6000k or higher light temperature. The brightest, and most natural, light temperature is about 4400k; above that you start needing to use blue filters and losing light output.

How much u taking for pair off them. And are they a nice crisp blue and alumnate everything blue. !

Only blue bulbs I ever tried were Ring Sport Blue 100watters, and they were utter crap. I soon put my old 55/65's straight back in.

I think i paid £35 for mine off ebay, they look the same as lloyds.

Can get them in loads of different temps aswell. Just have a browse on ebay.

I have been looking at changing my colour and replacement bulbs are only £15.

Trouble with that is, the beams are unfocussed and all over the shop, in comparison with proper units. Any mot tester doing his job properly will fail them instantly.

Mine where taken out and normal bulbs put in for mot.

Police round here dont seem to mind them as i have had no trouble with them.

Thats y u choose ur mot testers ;)

But yes..... Check with ur tester before hand

Ive had a few mot's now and im alway chatting while doing it, 1 was even at a dealer ;)

Maybe they just like me :D

The beam pattern on mine arnt tooo bad

Ones pretty much there and ones a bit scattered but not crazy , whether this depends on the kit i dont know

I have tinted lights so i feel i do my bit to dim them lol

I do love them but as demon say, id check with ur mot dude before each mot

Or just pop the bulbs out i supose as its all plug n play :)

Personally I prefer not to have people flashing me all the time because I'm blinding them like a t w@t, but each to their own... :wonder:

Lloyd wat Klein temp is yours on the red vrs. ?

Looks the same as mine mate 6000k. If you are after a more blue colour you may want to look at 8500k.

Just to jump on this thread...

I need to do something about my dipped beam head lights, doing a lot more driving of late and discovered that the people I'm passing on the dual carriage way are doing a better job of lighting me way than I am! Main beam doesn't seem too bad, though rarely have the chance to use it.

So with that in mind, and that I just want straight replacements, not HIDs, blues, or anything else, what are the recommendations? I think the link above is for the main beam bulb.

Tom

Yeah mate, 6k on mine ;)

And i dont get flashed much really tbh i cant count on 1 hand

No wait most of tge time its due to driving technique :D

I pay £250 a year tax i should be allowed to drive around on main beam lol

Which im guessing why range rovers lights are brite as fook :D they pay £500 so can do whatever they please ;)
