Featured Replies

Hai can any one please answer to some of my questions regarding Ebay Decat downpipe

http://www.ebay.in/itm/SKODA-OCTAVIA-1-8T-20V-STAINLESS-EXHAUST-DECAT-DOWN-PIPE-/400242485448#ht_1139wt_906

Questions( doubt)

1. Does this DECAT downpipe fix with milltek cat back (Non-res) ??

2.i did not done the remap so is there any other problem other than emission light ON ?

3.Can any one tell me the quality between Milltek decat downpipe n ebay decat ?

My car is Skoda octavia RS 1.8T 20V MK1

hi raj, hows things in Bangalore?

milltek stuff is great quality, i think though it may be 2.5inch or 2.75 not 3 inch like the decat (can't remember), you may need a reducer, find out what diammeter system you have firstly.

ebay decat, is not as good quality as the milltek stuff, but its ok.

Yes you will need the cel light mapped out, if you don't have a remap once you fit this it might be a good time. I suggest fitting a good panel filter as well to aid breathing, as i understand your roads are not the best, and can be dusty or very wet i don't suggest an induction kit.

I had this exact set up on mine, 2.5" milltek non res cat bk and I had a 2.5" ebay downpipe. Fitted and sounded great but you'll need a sleeve to get the 2 to fit together, same if you opt for the 3" downpipe.

The milltek quality is second to non (well I never had any problems), the fit was spot on.

You'll get the cel light but that can be mapped out at a later date.

As said above you need a sleve as they just about touch but wont slid into each other, bit of a pain really

If i did it again i would get the decat lengthed with some 2.5in exhaust tube so it stays at 2.5in rather than dropping to 2 1/4 at end bit

Please can we have pics of your car.. your avatar looks interesting.
