mis at low revs, help please

Featured Replies

hi all

my octy has a slight problem at low revs, if you keep the revs up or when just going up thru the gears it dos'nt happen

its just when going along in top between about 45 an 50mph, especially if im behind something and just gently accelerate, the it seems to mis, just once

its hard to explain but its just like sort of a jump/hesitation for a split second but its so annoying,

bearing in mind that ive just had another engine fitted, it used to do it with the old engine too, and its just the same now with the new 1

anyone got any ideas please?

thanks

regards

gaz

MAF?

hi

what could be wrong with egr please? and whats a maf? haha

Nothing wrong with EGR its just what happens when the EGR opens/closes, feels like a momentry loss of power.

If its becoming pronounced then maybe the EGR is getting sticky due to being coked up with soot.

MAF = Mass Air Flow I.e. how much air is being fed into the engine, get the mixture wrong and the engine can run like a bag of nails.
