Had a small bump today, have to admit is was my fault, and the nearside rear parking sensor has popped into the rear bumper and I can not find an easy way to push it back out. The parking sensors did not spot the metal bollard and I did not see it either, so I have to conclude it deliberately jumped up into my path as I reversed.

I have removed the rear light and can not get down far enough and undone the rear black skirt beneath the bumper and can not get far enough up so am stuck as to how get to the sensor - does the bumper realy have to come off, and how?

The sensor appears undamaged but is sitting just inside the bumper, the fitting looks as though it is simply pushed in from the outside so I am stumped.

Can anyone advise on the best, easiest, way to recover the sensor and refit it.

Are you sure can't get to it from underneath? I managed to change one of my centre ones from underneath without removing the bumper, on pre-FL estate though so may be slightly different.

Did have a quick try yesterday. Will spend a bit more time on it tomorrow when it stops raining.
