I found the S3 too big for me personally jumped from iPhone 4 to iPhone 5 I like it works well battery seems to last almost a day longer than the 4 I'm a heavy user and can just squeeze 2 days out of the 5 the S3 and iPhone 4 where 1 day. Personally I didn't like having to close apps to stop them using power on android and things where a bit more convoluted I found. Having said all that android for me is catching up and the nexus 4 does interest me. who knows what ill buy next time round but this time after trying the alternatives apple won for me but the gap is getting closer all the time

There is no need, in general, to close apps to save power on Android.

Had my S3 for a few hours now...

First impressions are very promising, really good UI and it all feels like a refreshing change from the iPhone

It's the first android phone i have ever had, and the Play store has loads of Apps and games

Really loving it, seems a great choice for me

I have iphone 5 and agree with some of the previous comments - very fast, slick, smooth etc. easy to use and all the stock apps work and don't need replacing with third party ones etc. I don't have extensive android experience, but I have had a couple of them and find them a bit more of a pain in the arse for the everyday user who isn't into developing and stuff. What I don't understand is why the galaxy s which I had then gave to my mum is very slow and tends to stick a lot when my bf's iPhone 4 (so equivalent basically) doesn't. I don't know whether its poor phone design or poor OS design, but either way it's pretty annoying :/

As mentioned if you lay out more for the iPhone it will also hold its value better, so it really does just come down to which one you prefer and which suits you best lol. This is like the most unhelpful thread ever

All this drumming for the 5 not being much different from the 4s? Samsung are the same, s1 s2, they are all similar to the s3. But that's the whole point they are newer better versions. And either manufacture hasn't failed at releasing a better product each time. Job done.

I never said small..... But it is definitely SMALLER.

Set my new iPhone 5 up his evening and i'm loving the performance upgrade compared to the 3GS. Also the connection speed is awesome compared to the 3GS too. On my local mast (not upgraded to HSPA+ yet) the 3GS was getting approx 4meg download and 0.15meg upload. The 5 is getting 12.78meg download and 2.54meg upload!!!! Can't wait to try it out at work where the local mast has been upgraded to HSPA+.

S3 looks plastic and crap. 12months down the line nobody will remember the s3 it will be another forgotten phone. 12 months down the line the iphone 5 will still be worth £350 and look good

Well after reading everyone's comments Ive gone and got a Samsung galaxy s3 . I've got a contract for 300 minutes , unlimited txt and 750mb Internet for £25 a month . It comes on Tuesday .

Its a very nice slim functional phone with great features, a fast dual core processor and does far more than I will ever need
