Needing camshaft sensor replaced on my octavia as its doing my head in, any1 no the easiest way to replace as would like to have a shot myself to save lot cash, as been quoted crazy prices to replace and parts only 30quid, any help would be obliged cheers

Hi the reason its expensive is because they will have to remove the cambelt to fit it. If you want to do it yourself cambelt tool kit is expensive if your only going to do it once. But if your cambelt is due soon get it done in one go. Or you can brake the plastic of the back of the cover and squeeze the sensor through but i wouldn't advise it. it only takes a couple of hours to do the cambelt with the water pump any garage should be able to it
