Hi all

I was wondering how to (if at all poss) turn off the pass air bag, i was mooving some stuff to the dump and my wee girl wanted to cum but i dont want to put her in the frount in the recaro kids seat till i get the air bag off.

i think behind the panel on the passenger side is the switch for your key to put in it to turn it off.

Up in the stickies, there's one that points you to searchable PFD copies of the manuals.

I'm pretty sure the passenger airbag switch was an optional extra when the car was new.

if you don't have the key in the glovebox, I believe it can be disabled with VCDS (VAG-COM) by coding it out. Once disabled you get a flashing warning in the dashpod to alert you that the passenger airbag is disabled.

Can confirm all airbags can be disabled(individually) with VCDS as above. The airbag light flashes 5 times when you start then goes off iirc. Ive dissabled my drivers due to fitting momo wheel

Thanks for the info, i will look for the switch but if i dont have one i will just keep my wee girl in the back, dont want it off all the time ( i take my gran out once a week lol)
