BXE Engine

Featured Replies

We have all read the posts on here regarding BXE conrod failures, what about some positives, my 2006 Octavia BXE has 95000mls on the clock & my fathers 2006 Octavia BXE has 167000mls on the clock, any more out there??

LOL here we go again:)

As you say on a positive note mine is only 58K so far and sweet as.

I have a few taxi driver friends and one is on 256K the other is 224K and the 09 plate is on 178K. No problems what so ever.

My last 2 job cars with that engine both died at about 115k (less than two years old as well). That said, I do work for one of the emergency services and the vehicles live an extremely hard life. Tbh, the second one had been faultless up to that point but wasn't economically viable to repair as it's replacement was almost ready (they are retired at 120k).

On the fleet (which is quite large) they are generally reliable and well thought of by those that maintain them.
