Changed mine today on my new alloys - not a mark, so it can be done, but its no easy

...National Tyres in Fort William want £12 per wheel to change summer to winter tyres!...

At almost £100/year, I'd be looking for a set of steel wheels - assuming you have room to store them.

Agreed! I've just completed a 280 mile round trip to pick up another set of some nice alloys from rural Aberdeenshire via 'Gumtree'.

I assume that National Tyres just hate the idea of folks buying winter tyres online and then bringing them into their outlets for folks to have them changed - thus, they are charging real money for the service.

Cheers, Terry

My local tyre places hated me buying tyres so cheap and going to them for fitting they now charge 27.50 per tyre, so for me itsa life saver. Strangely they only charge 3 quid to balance.
