Would Mk1 fabia vrs 16" standard alloys with 205/45/16 winter tyres fit a Mk2 fabia vrs as winter wheels ?

Has Anybody tried Mk1 vrs wheels on Mk2 vrs ?

The size calculater thingy indicates there is very little in it, but do they actually fit ?

Will probably try it at the weekend to see.

I would say it's the more expensive option because a set of good condition mk1 alloys plus 205/45/16 winter tyres will be more than a set of 15" steels plus 195/55/15 winter tyres.

Also, the latter will be better in snow but not so good on dry days.Difficult decision...

The alloys will certainly look better.

Well I've just traded in my mk1 vrs for a mk2 vrs and already have a set of winter tyres on a set of old but refurbished last year alloys and before I punt them just wondered if they would fit new car . If so will keep them and will put piccies up.

Very fortunate...from all I've read they should fit and look good.Look forward to the pics.

I'm in almost exactly the same position. Just about to trade in my Mk1 VRS for a Mk2 and have winter tyres for the Mk1 wheels. Looking at tracking down some 16" steels and painting them white, but Mk1 alloys may be another option.

OP, do please post some pics if you try them on the MK2!!

Well here goes, mk1 vrs 16's on Mk2 vrs, straight swap, no problems, not sure about them, but will do as winters.

Also fitted mudflaps while wheels were off.
