Headunit in 'Safe' Mode...

Featured Replies

Having disconnected the battery in order to reset the engine management light after my recent dabble with atmos DV, I now have a non-functioning Stereo which is in safe mode. I take it the code to unlock isnt readily available anywhere and that the dealer has to reset it?

When I needed the radio code the dealer needed the serial no of the radio and had to contact the factory to get the code. Only a quick phone call though.

If you have no joy at the dealers then try any auto-electrician and the can plug it upto a computer and reprogramme it for a small charge.

Depending on how old the car is, it will turn itself off using codes built into the car.

Start the car and don't touch the radio for a minute then turn it on and leave it but drive for a few minutes. It might come on.

Yup - mine does that ;)

Mine too,....... on a 51 plate,

Steve

So how old is your car rob1sp?
