Nice new car :)

Featured Replies

Hi! Thought I'd say hi as today I just got a Skoda 1.4 Classic 2000 from the parents, they wanted to give me their car instead of me buying a dodgy second hand one which was brilliant!

Will be looking to do a few mods to mine, mine doesnt have C/L or E/W, not the biggest deal in the world but I will be putting some new wheels on it (VRS ones) or maybe some other skoda ones, not too keen on non-skoda alloys as I'm not going to be making a huge amount of mods to it.

Anyways, Hi :)

Hi and Welcome!!

Im sure I saw someone selling some wheels with decent tyres on, take a mooch in the parts for sale section !!

You have a nice little car there: the 1.4 is a tough an torquey engine :) Welcome to the board :)

welcome and enjoy, I always found that the cars you have early on in your driving life are the ones you hold the most affinity with.

My first 2 cars (mk1 Golf and battered Orion) are probably for enjoyment the top 2 - I'm hoping my VRS takes the mantle once I'm used to it. After the first 2 it went downhill with a wealth of dodgy French motors and a couple of humdrum Vauxhalls.

Cheers for the welcome :) had two little spins this afternoon and going out again later so enjoy it so far!

Hi & welcome. We've had an 02 plate 1.4 classic for around 3.5 years & to be honest it's been great. A few issues here & there but nothing too serious & it's been very reliable as a day to day commuting car for my wife. You should find the economy to be quite good unless of course your right foot is on the heavy side.

I certainly hope you enjoy your acquisition but be careful with mods, as they can ramp up your insurance!

Cheers,

Rob ;)

Hi and welcome aboard.

Hello there and welcome along

Welcome, we have had a Fabia 1.4, the 100 bhp version. Nice motor. Our 1.4 Octavia wasn't bad either.

The Wife's new 1.4 Fabia ia a little faster though, it's a Vrs
