this may be a mega easy one but want to change my aerial mast for a shorter one and i can't get the old one off seems to be a security one any ideas???????????????????????? or anyone done it???????

Just pull it abit harder. Its got kind of a security bit on the end. It does come off.

is it not like a cable as mines a screw and tilt back????

Just pull the rubber tip off the end, get a pair of sidecutters, cut it however short you want it, and put the rubber tip back on.

Trust me, it does pull. Just takes some force to do so.

I've not noticed any reduction of signal, but i'm sure it will affect it a little (but so would fitting a shorter one anyway).
