coilovers and bushes

Featured Replies

hiya ppl am getting some new coilovers in the nxt few weeks weitec hicon gts and no i have shot bushes the front wishbone arms rear bushes are shot completely front anti roll bar bushes are shot and rear axle buishes are shot aswell so the question i have is do i get a whole new control arm for thr front and replace with super pro or do i go the audi tt route and get those bushes and also if u get the whole control arm off teh audi tt is it a direct replacement or are there other things i would need to consider and with the rear axle bushes is it better to just go super pro or do the audi bushes fit on the back same with anti roll bar as basically am considering doing all the bushes before the coilovers go on but would like some advice which is the best route to go down as plenty of spped bumps round here and i dont cover alot of mileage but also want a comfy ride as well as better cornering any help is much appreciated

Thats one long sentence :S I would get new OEM bushes and leave it like that.

Pattern full arms wear out quickly Im told.

and if you want comfort coilies and poly bushes will make her hard. +1 oem bushes/arms retain comfort and longevity

I have complete s3/tt/leon/r32 front end setup with superpro bushs and coilovers,

When setup right the car handles alot better and feels alot more positive on turn in and handling,

It all depends on your budget, i got my cast arms, hubs, subframe and quick rack off a lad breaking a leon cupra r and got 23mm front antiroll bar from tps,

I went with superpro bushs because i had tt solid bushs in my original arms and they just fell apart and split in no time and you can get offset bush for lower arms from superpro, apparently rear anti roll bar makes a big differance aswell but thats about the only thing i don't have as yet

do u have any links to the super pro bushs u used as i can just replace the bushs themselves as control arm is ok but would rather get a whole new control arm for both sides which is why i was wondering if the audi tt / golf r32 cupra r arm is a direct replacement as it sounds like the audi bushes on there own are a no go
