Just a thought..... would it not be easier to route the cable from the battery in very thin plastic bendy tubing (as used in car) or use armoured cable and run it under the outside of the car and then in through a rubber grommit in the boot floor... saves destroying the whole interior of the car and takijng everything apart????

Have you ever tried it? I gave up when trying on mine and used the method above. Much easier and it show you how the interior of the car is put together.

No i haven't... was just an idea

Thought it would be nice to start a thread in which I detail the things I've been doing so far. And as pictures speak louder than words I've also included some for your perusal pleasure :D.

This is very much a work still in progress and I will add to this thread when I have done some more.

Useful guide and neat power cable install Quinten. I have a few questions though.

Should there not be another cable feeding the fuse holder from the battery?

What sort of install are you planning? If you need a cable that big, your install will be drawing serious amps so shouldn't you think about an uprated alternator, split charge batteries or at least a 1F cap?

What's your thinking on the earth cable? Are you going to earth locally to the chassis in the boot? If so you may need to re-enforce your earth cabling from the battery to the chassis.

Just a few thoughts.
