Engine mounts

Featured Replies

Hi skoda legends,

Had my skoda octavia 07 vrs tdi remapped a year ago been experiencing strange vibrations under acceleration which I thought was suspension bushes, on inspection these seem ok, took it for a rolling road diag check (188.7 bhp 425 NMR torque :-p) they said engine was moving a lot which adds up as I have had to replace egr pipe and cracked inlet manifold in last year (egr now reduced)

Just wondering if anyone has upgraded there bushes in line with a remap and if spending more money on for example power flex mounts yield better reliability and of course comfortable driving. Any advice is greatly received, also has any one poly bushed there suspension if so which ones don't feel rock hard yet yield better handling! As parts die on my baby I like to upgrade them already eyed up the koni fsd shockers and potential dpf delete

I'm in the same situation with my car, which happens to be the same year and model. I planned to uprate the standard bushes, but I've now decided to replace them with standard units. My car is my daily drive and my work vehicle. The vibrating door cards and knocking suspension are already too much for me to handle so I'm not sure how a vibrating dashboard would fit my needs. :)
